Our Farm

We started our smallholding with a little of everything.  It is a good way to find out what works for you and also what animals you get on with best in your climate.

So we had a few chickens, ducks, geese, goats, sheep (of several different breeds), cows and pigs.  We have now settled on what works for us.

We still keep a few poultry but just enough to keep us stocked with eggs and meat.  We also have a small suckler herd of cows mostly angus and dexter and weaners for our beef and pork, but we do not breed our own pigs anymore, just fattened them for the freezer.

Our main business is focused around our two flocks of sheep;  we have an early lambing flock of suffolk mules and then the main flock of pedigree lleyns.
