Dogs:

I don't dare count how many dogs we now have - we started off with two and now it seems they have increased in numbers without us realising!     They are quite a handful but we love them all the same (sometimes)!  I would like to think that we provide a good home for our dogs with lots of fun things to do from chasing chickens to playing ball.  We live in such a great place there are always things for them to do, running on the moors, swimming in the sea.  They seem happy and that is the important thing.

We started off with rescue dogs and some how or other things got out of hand!  One day we took a dog to Victor Pitts in Devon to see if he had any instinct aw a sheepdog.  Benjamin was useless, completely useless and Victor felt so sorry for me that he gave me a puppy - Meg (Splattacus Megalomaniac).  She was such a fantastic sheepdog that we had to get more sheep and more sheep and so it went.

Now I have taken to training sheepdogs for other people and working with Victor performing sheepdog displays across the country.  The work is great and it can be wonderfully rewarding and give us the opportunity to demonstrate the skill and style of these dogs. We do still take in rescue dogs to help rehome and retrain them as sheep dogs and some of our most impressive dogs have been delinquent rescues.

Also occasionally having litters of puppies.  We only have a litter when we want a pup and are very particular about where our pups go.  Collies are very energetic dogs and need plenty of mental stimulation.

  Our young dogs
We have two young dogs coming on at the moment.  Devonairs Joe is an Australian Kelpie who was given to me by the breeder, Tracy Huxtable.  He is great fun and such a strong dog.  At ten months old he is working well and gaining in confidence all the time.

Tadpole is one of our pups from the recent litter with Meg and Kemi Sam.  He is full on and keen to work but we are trying to teach him his manners first!  He walks on nicely to the sheep and does his hands but occasionally forgets himself and piles in!  He is only 6 months old though so we can forgive him a bit of hooligan behaviour!
