Ollie originally came from a working farm in Ireland.
She was homed as a Christmas present to a couple who
subsequently divorced. During all the trauma of
the split she became quite destructive and distrusting.
Consequently when she first arrived we had a lot of
dominance issues and aggressive behaviour to deal with.
For the first six months we said almost every day that
we would have to have her PTS tomorrow, but luckily for
her tomorrow never came!

We started working her
at agility and she enjoys it. It has been hard to
address her aggression issues with other dogs but we
have seen massive improvements. She is also much
better with people and no longer wants to eat every
blonde woman she sees!
The real change in
Ollie came when we started Sheep dog training with
Victor Pitt. Ollie was a natural and
although she is very strong willed and often wants to do
things her way, she has become an asset for us on the
farm. Her behaviour changed almost overnight when
she finally worked out where she fitted in our
household. Sheepdog work was her job and she was
happy with that. We do have to keep a close eye on
her as if she is left to her on devices we soon find we
have all the sheep and ducks organised and re-organised!
