Fern is another bitch from Victor Pitts.  He had two litters of pups within weeks of each other and as he asked us to puppy walk for him - always fatal!!  Initially we had two dog pups from the Flax/Bud litter, but when we discovered that the little bitch was still without a home we had her instead.  Fern is a little timid at first but once she gets to know a person/place or situation she is a mischievous little thing. 

She was the only bitch in the litter and gave her brothers hell - Clever girl!  She is still a fiesty little thing but she can be a fantastic sheepdog.  Unfortunately she doesn't like working for me and regularly tells me "Daddy wouldn't make me!"  She and I have come to an agreement that she is definitely Julian's dog and I only use her in dire emergencies.    She is a real problem solver and has worked out how to get her little paws on anything she wants!

She has also worked on the sheepdog displays for us and can work wonderfully in front of an audience.  She is a very stylish bitch and works well with other dogs.  A nice flock dog, happy to work in the field and pen.
